Much of the content that Wild Lens produces is created utilizing volunteer effort. We are extremely proud of our dedicated team of volunteers – it is their passion and commitment that allow us to reach such a wide audience with our content. Podcast Producer and Host
WE ARE CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR A PART-TIME POSITION AS A PRODUCER AND CO-HOST FOR THE EYES ON CONSERVATION PODCAST!
Job Description: Wild Lens is seeking a Podcast Producer and Host for our Eyes on Conservation podcast series. The Eyes on Conservation Podcast is a weekly interview series featuring a diverse array of experts working in the field of conservation. We interview biologists, filmmakers, artists, politicians, writers, musicians, outdoor adventurers, lawyers – anyone who has a unique approach towards conserving our planet and its ecosystems. The podcast has been airing new episodes for three years, and has a rotating group of 5-6 co-hosts who contribute interview content.
This is a part-time position for a capable producer who is able to take on the responsibility of coordinating amongst all podcast contributors and determining a release schedule for interviews, as well as editing interview content, preparing episodes for release, and promoting episodes via Wild Lens social media channels. The candidate will also be expected to independently seek out and conduct at least one podcast interview per month.
The funding we have available for this position will allow us to pay the successful candidate up to 10 hours a week at a rate of $30 per hour. This is a one year trial position, with the potential for a longer term contract with more hours if funding becomes available. Candidates should be motivated to assist in seeking additional funding opportunities such as sponsorships, crowd-sourced funding campaigns and co-production opportunities, knowing that this position could become permanent and full-time if funding allows.
