We are extremely excited to announce the addition of a new board member, Kristine Crawford. Kristine has been volunteering with Wild Lens since the organization’s inception, and her commitment to our mission has remained clear throughout this time. Last summer Kristine was our event coordinator for the 2014 North American Bluebird Society Conference, which was hosted by Wild Lens here in Boise, ID. Organizing this conference was no small feat with close to 100 delegates arriving from all across North America, plus numerous participants here in the Boise area. This event also included a public screening of our documentary Bluebird Man, which was attended by approximately 250 people. Kristine did all the this work on a strictly volunteer basis, a true sign of her dedication to Wild Lens and to wildlife conservation efforts in general.
Kristine began developing her background in Fundraising and Event Planning while working for Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Luis Obispo. Since then she has organized and run numerous events and conferences in the Boise area and beyond (in addition to her role in the Bluebird Society conference). Kristine’s experience as a non-profit board member and officer is also welcomed here at Wild Lens; she served as the treasurer of Big Tree Arts in Boise for three years.
We couldn’t be happier to welcome Kristine onto our board of directors as our new treasurer.
