Communications SpecialistAfter completing a BSc in Conservation Biology, I worked as an author and science communicator for over six years within a conservation charity. My work varied from writing about endangered species and conservation issues to organising large-scale public events that incorporated film, photography and art. My role also included guiding and developing the campaigns of over 200 conservation charities in 50+ countries around the world, advising on effective language techniques, multimedia usage and PR strategies.

Matthew Podolsky
President, Co-Founder
Matthew helped found Wild Lens in 2011 with the goal of bringing biologists and filmmakers together to produce films that would have an impact on critically important wildlife conservation issues. Matthew began full-scale production on his first feature length film, Scavenger Hunt, immediately after the inception of Wild Lens. Since then Matthew co-directed and produced the Emmy-nominated Wild Lens film Bluebird Man, and has produced numerous short films for the Eyes on Conservation series.

Sarinah Simons

Sarinah has been captivated by the beauty and resilience of the natural world since her young days catching frogs and snakes in the garden and finding new specimens for her insect collection. She was born and raised in Southern California and has experienced as much diversity in cultures and people, as she has in California’s unique biomes.

Kristin Tieche
Filmmaker
ETH Podcast CorrespondentKristin Tieche has earned an international reputation as an environmental filmmaker and skilled documentary editor. She edited feature environmental documentaries that include the Sundance 2008 Audience Award winning “Fuel,” and the 2009 PBS/Independent Lens film, “Power Paths.” Kristin is also known for her award-winning environmental and social commentary films, including the 2011 film, “Forms of Identification” about identity crisis, and the 2013 bicycle horror film, “The Spinster,” which won the Jury Prize at the Boston Bike Film Festival.
